Pesticides have been found to have direct consequences for amphibious life, even where levels have been found to be in drinking water EPA safe levels.

Testing conducted on frogs showed that the frogs not exposed to pesticides were free of any types of deformities. Where frogs were tested with even the most minute levels of pesticides, once considered safe and used in aerial sprayings agasinst such pests and the Mediterranean Fruit Fly have now been shown to be hazardous to frogs at very low level .

Several characteristics were shown from lower reproductive health,  weakened immune function and several deformities. The testing was over a large population of test frogs.

Nematodes, tematodes were found to mutate as agents modified by the exposure to pesticides to promote deformities and other immune dysfunctions.
